Install Shiori on Windows
Install Shiori as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on Windows using Chrome or Edge for a native app experience.
1. Open Shiori in Chrome or Edge
Go to shiori.sh in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and sign in to your account.
2. Install the app
Click the install icon in the address bar — it looks like a monitor with a down arrow. You can also open the browser menu (three dots) and click Install Shiori or Install app.
In Edge, look for Apps > Install this site as an app in the menu.
3. Launch Shiori
After installing, Shiori opens in its own window — no tabs, no address bar. You'll find it in your Start menu and taskbar just like any other app. You can pin it to the taskbar for quick access.
Uninstalling
To uninstall, open Shiori and click the three-dot menu in the title bar, then choose Uninstall Shiori. You can also uninstall from Settings > Apps > Installed apps in Windows.
